Called ‘The Beautiful Monster’ by Heritage, the T206 collection is made up of 520 cards and is highlighted by several Ty Cobb items, including a Piedmont 150 PSA 6, a Piedmont 350-460/25 PSA 7, and a Piedmont 150 PSA 7.

The Winter Auction also features the Rupp Collection, which was consigned by the son of the former Kentucky basketball coach. The Rupp Collection features sealed boxes of 1965 Topps Baseball and 1966 Topps Baseball as well as singles like a Willie Mays 1953 Topps PSA 8 and a Jackie Robinson 1952 Topps PSA 7.

Among basketball items, a complete 132-card uncut sheet of 1986 Fleer is the clear star. Along with Jordan’s rookie, the sheet also features rookies for Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone and Hakeem Olajuwon.

For ink collectors, The Mike Greenbaum Collection features an impressive lineup of on-card autographs secured by a young hobbyist chasing the greats in the 1950s. The Greenbaum Collection features 23 cards, including autographs from Jackie Robinson, Mickey Mantle, Roy Campanella, Willie Mays, Ted Wiliams and more.

“At Heritage, tomorrow always offers an opportunity to collect something extraordinary from yesterday, and that’s never truer than in this year’s Winter Sports Card Catalog Auction,” Heritage’s Director of Sports Auctions Chris Ivy said in a press release. “Any one of these collections is a centerpiece offering. But to see them all together is almost overwhelming, and we’re thrilled to kick off 2024 with such a historic event that pays tribute to the hobby that looks stronger than ever heading into the future.”
