The chase for Connor Bedard rookie cards just got even more interesting.

Already one of the NHL’s most popular players — at least in terms of jersey sales — Bedard is by far the biggest chase for 2023/24 Upper Deck Hockey Series 2.

Online trading card retailer Dave and Adam’s Card World has shaken up that chase, however, and is offering a $1 million bounty for Bedard’s Outburst Gold 1/1 rookie.

Set to drop on March 6, many collectors would typically be buying Series 2 hoping to pull Bedard’s signature Young Guns rookie.

An all-new parallel for 2023/24 Series 2 Hockey, Outburst also comes with Gold variations numbered to just one copy.

According to Dave and Adam’s, the card must be in good condition to secure the bounty.

“That’s right, no damage like dents, dings, creases, or scrapes,” the announcement reads. “It should look like it would grade a 9.”

The Bedard bounty is the latest in a series of promotions by the retailer. Dave and Adam’s has previously offered bounties for cards like the Druw Jones Superfractor Autograph ($1 million) and the Anthony Volpe MLB Debut Patch ($150,000).

The top pick by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2023 NHL Draft, Bedard has been considered a generational prospect by many hockey experts. That status has also driven extreme interest among sports card collectors hoping to secure the next great player early.

While the Blackhawks have struggled to a 15-41-5 record coming into Monday, Bedard has played well with 41 points (17 goals, 24 assists) in 47 games.
