Panini America is expanding its partnership with the NBA in an all-new way.

Currently the exclusive licensed trading card partner for the NBA, Panini announced Tuesday morning that it had reached a deal to become the title partner for the 2024 NBA Rising Stars.

According to the press release, this is the first time that a trading card company has been a title sponsor for one of the NBA’s All-Star events.

“Panini Rising Stars is a natural extension of our partnership with the NBA, given that the league’s top rookies and young players are key elements of Panini’s exclusive NBA trading card products,” Jason Howarth, Panini America’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Athlete Relations, said in a statement. “We look forward to celebrating these great young players during All-Star.”

The deal will include NBA Rising Stars pack giveaways to fans in attendance. Additional cards will also be available through Panini Instant after the game.

The Panini Rising Stars will tip-off on Feb. 16 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN.

The Rising Stars is the start of the All-Star Weekend, with the All-Star Game on Feb. 18. Starting lineups for the All-Star Game were announced on Jan. 25 while reserves will be announced on Feb. 1.

The Skills Challenge, 3-Point Contest and Slam Dunk Contest are all scheduled for Feb. 17.
